Me and my shadow

As you can see, I have the most helpful son on the planet. The best part is that directly after this picture was taken the colander fell over his eyes and he walked straight into the fridge.

That Darn Cat...

So thanks to Rilla and the SF gang who were willing to part with him, we have the most wonderful cat in the world. No, that is not sarcasm, I seriously have never met a sweeter cat than Hunter. He and G are the best of friends unless G is pinning him to the ground or jumping on him, but even then he rarely resorts to violence. For example, right now the cat and G are sharing some cheetos and water. Sick.
So here is the problem, this cat is NOT very wonderful when he wants to snuggle with everyone from 5:00-6:00 in the morning. First he starts with me and scratches and cries at the door until I finally put him outside or let him come snuggle. Thanks to the schizophrenic weather he had no desire to play out in the snow so I had to let him stay inside bothering me. Once he has decided that I am boring since I am hiding under the covers, he moves on to G's room where he meows and scratches the door. Apparently he hasn't gotten the memo that you never wake a sleeping baby. I'm telling you, this is a great cat but in my sleep stupor I am about ready to kill him. Any suggestions?

New picts

Here are some new pictures of G for all who might be interested. He is so dang funny!

I have now become what I mock...

Here is to the maiden voyage of our new blog which I am dedicating to my Dad, seeing as how I anticipate he will probably be the only person who will look at it and then only for pictures of our little pride and joy. Regardless, however, I thought it might be nice to write about something I am interested in at times--namely myself and my family--rather than about something stupid like what the physiological components of stress are.

Now in regard to the title of this post I must admit that I have been what you could call a "blog mocker" in the past. The other day, however, when I was carrying "G" (as our son will now be known by) around with a face completely covered in chocolate and I hadn't showered all day and looked disgusting I decided that I have now become what I once mocked in basically all areas of my life. I might as well take up ballroom dancing and karate to complete the circle. Thus in the spirit of hypocrisy I figure, what's adding a blog going to hurt? Plus, no one ever wants to hear my funny G stories so I guess now I can write them down instead of boring everyone I meet. So anyway, enjoy my moral defeat and hopefully this is just one of many posts to come.
