Ouch.

I forgot the funniest thing G said yesterday.

Me(to B): Honey, be honest, am I becoming a chubby wubby?
G(without skipping a beat): Yeah, mom, you're a chubby wubby.

Well, at least he's honest.

More Quoteable Quotes

Over the last couple of days we have had few interesting conversations at our house:

G: Mom are you pretty?
Me: I don't know, I hope so. What do you think?
G: I don't know.
Me: Well what about you, are you handsome?
G: Yeah, I'm handsome.

Me: I love you, you are wonderful!
G: No, I'm handsome.

Apparently we have a very attractive and confident child.

Me: Do you want to watch Mulan?
G: No, she's dirty.
?????

B: Ok buddy, it's time to take a shower.
G: No, I can't take a shower, I'm too little!
Me: But you've done it before--you take showers all the time.
G: No! I'm too little, alright!?

We were teaching about brothers and sisters...

Me: Would you like to have a sister someday?
G: No. A brother.
Me: But sisters are fun. Don't you like your auntie A?
G: Yeah I like A.
Me: So would you like a sister?
G: No, I don't want a sister. I need a brother.

Ok--hope he doesn't get too dissapointed when the time comes. We'll do our best.

You look like Ricki Lake!

Have you ever had someone tell you that you look like someone else who is very unnattractive? They always think that they are doing you a favor somehow by telling you that you are the ugliest person alive. Even worse, if you don't take it well they act upset as though you are completely ungrateful. "What? You don't want to look like that drunken hobo peeing on the street?!?! Well, I never! Some people just can't take a compliment."

Unfortunately for me, it seems that I have one of those faces. Everyone always thinks I look like someone. I cringe as they say--"hey you know who you look like?" which is always invariably followed by something like "Paris Hilton's dog" or "Ricki Lake" (I'm not sure which is the worse insult actually). My favorite is the time someone told me I look like Drew Barrymore--one of the ugliest stars I can think of save perhaps Courtney Love.

So imagine my enjoyment when I discovered this MyHeritage face recognition program. You upload a photo and it will tell you who you look like. My most common results? It changes dependent on the photo but my top few almost always include--you guessed it, Ricki Lake, Amanda Bynes, and Emma Thompson. Now I don't find the latter two individuals to be incredibly unnatractive, however I do find it mystifying that I should look like them. I mean really?

For a little Sunday night amusement I just ran a photo of myself and discovered a soulful part of myself I never would have known was there. Tonight, my number one match is...Beyonce. Now, don't get me wrong, she's no Ricki, but REALLY? I look like Beyonce? So for everyone's viewing pleasure I have decided to include MyHeritage's generous facial morphing for you all to see that I am indeed Beyonce's half sister, which I think means that I am entitled to a little of her fortune as well.
