E comes up with some pretty funny things sometimes. I'm going to try to remember some of things he said to me lately just so that I can have a record.
At dinner he said, "Mom this is the best meal I've ever eaten in my entire life. Congratulations!"
We were talking about how to be kind to other people, and he said, "Yes and you don't punch people in the throat."
Looking at baby A (Who he adores) he said, "I'm going to marry A when she grows up and she'll be a princess. I'll be a prince and we'll have three babies."
I asked E why we go to church and he said, "To learn stupid songs."
(In his defense learning songs is a lot of what they do in primary :-)
E constantly pesters me to let him watch superhero movies. So the other day he put in Spiderman and wanted to watch it. I told him that there might be scary parts and that I would have to monitor it for him. Well, I got distracted and he ended up watching the whole thing. At the end he looked at me with big eyes and said, "I watched the whole thing mom! Where were the scary parts?"
I think were doing a good job of desensitizing him ha ha.
And this one was kind of sweet. We were talking and he kept saying he wanted to marry baby A. Dad explained that he couldn't marry her because she's his sister. He seemed distressed. He asked who he could marry then. We told him that he would marry somebody else and they would make their own family. He acted really sad and was really worried that the people in our family would get married and go away with their own families. It was really cute. But it also made me a little sad because it made it sort of real that my children will grow up at some point and move on. They will always be the most important thing to me but at some point I won't be the most important thing to them. No fair! :-) Don't worry I reassured us both that we still have lots of time for that.
