Grandma and Grandpa Time!!

The boys and I have been at my parents house for the last two weeks having some awesome Grandma and Grandpa time. We played and ate until it hurt! Here are a few pictures of our trip:

Hanging out at the aquarium with Grandma (inside a fish tank)
The boys LOVED the beach

The Tillamook cheese factory--a must see!
Berry picking

The ride home...
Breakfast the next morning!
This is how E smiles every time he sees my sister's husband
This one is for the ladies
Visiting the airport that my dad always flies out of for his business. This is a helicopter he flies in all the time. We were all terrified of it.
We also got to go to the airport for an exclusive bbq and preview of the airshow. The thunderbirds were there and were really cool. G took this picture of them.
The children's museum
The baby section of the children's museum. Hallelujah! An area where a baby can't destroy anything or get hurt!

When we parted ways at the airport, G sobbed and sobbed because he was so sad to be leaving Grandma and Grandpa. It was so cute. We finally calmed him down and he enjoyed the flight home. At around the main street leading to our house, G piped up from the back seat, "Umm, I don't want to go to our house. I want to go back to Grandma and Grandpa B's house." Unfortunately he did not get his way.

We're excited to go back for another trip, but this time with Hubby. We all missed him WAY too much! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Graduation

I finally graduated!! It was a long road and sometimes frustrating beyond belief. As I sat there waiting for my diploma, however, all I could think about was how happy I was that I had my two little boys during my program and that they could be there with me. Having two kids definitely didn't make getting a Ph.D. any easier but it sure made it about a million times more fulfilling for me.

Thanks to my husband, boys, parents, siblings, parents and siblings in law, and everyone else who put up with my craziness for the last 5 years. I thanked you all in my dissertation--but let's be honest, no one is going to read that. It can't be said enough, THANK YOU!

Here are some pictures--enjoy!

When B goes out of town strange things happen

Well, it only happen when B goes out of town,  I grow a beard.  This time I wasn't going to do much, just shave it off when she and the kids came home.  But everybody at work wanted me to take pictures and do it in stages.  So, since I wouldn't want to disappoint...

I don't look too bad do I?

I can tell you right now that B wishes I would always have this one!

This one is just trimmed up a bit...looks good eh!

And lets not forget the diversities of the stash!

Hope you all had a good laugh.  Until the next vacation...stay classy America!

Oh look there is a human under there...

Honey, you're the BEST!

This is a post from Hubby B for Wife B.  I know she doesn't like to toot her own horn, so I am going to be doing it for her.

B just finished up her dissertation, and therefore, her PhD!  She has worked very hard, and it has finally come to an end.

I want you to know sweetie that I love you very much.  You are a very smart, talented,  and wonderful person.  I wanted to recognize this for you, because so many things you do, especially as a mother, often go unrecognized.  I want you to know that I am thankful that we are married.  You have been a great example to me and our totally awesome family!

I also wanted you to know that not only are you my Solitaire idol, but you are now my School idol as well.

Congratulations!

More weird things I love...

That in the movie Stranger Than Fiction, the main character brings his crush (who is a baker) an assortment of flours. How romantic and practical!! Hint hint, honey...
Surfing the internet looking at food blogs for hours at night and then complaining that I'm super hungry. (This drives hubby CRAZY.)

Shopping at a different grocery store than I normally do. I feel like, "What? Am I on vacation? No I'm just at Albertsons!"

Taking a shower in the middle of the day when you know you are really gross. I feel so much cleaner and more fabulous afterward.

80's (and early 90's) rock ballads. I just can't fight the feeling anymore.
